There are a variety of
reasons the DMV may investigate and reexamine a person's
driving ability, including but not limited to Alzheimer's
disease, dementia, strokes, seizure disorders such as
epilepsy, and even
diabetes.
DMV
hearing officers, under California vehicle code, can
evaluate any condition that has the potential to interfere
with driver alertness, strength, coordination, judgment,
knowledge, and skill. This means that anyone who has been
reported may be subject to an investigation, even, as
previously noted, someone who is
diabetic.
DMV
policies are in place to maintain everyone's safety
on the road. If a physician, police officer, family member,
friend or acquaintance reports a driver, the DMV will
evaluate the report and decide if further examination is
needed. If so, a DMV attorney can be useful.
If you have a
driver license
medical suspension (or revocation) due to an alleged
lack of skill or impairing medical condition, your best
course of action is to employ an attorney to help you to
earn it back so that you can become mobile again. An
attorney may objectively present your case, both orally and
on paper, in such a way that makes it easy for the
DMV to give
you the "green light." Mr. Kendall has successfully
represented many
driving
seniors and others with suspended or revoked licenses
throughout California. Call
